oooooppps I forgot

Took Thomas down to Litchfield this weekend, and he loved it too! but, he was not too impressed by my little chapel (he was all "Kerri look at the foundation" blah blah blah....) It was even better when I saw it- PERFECT FOR PICTURES.... but I want him to be happy, so I think it is out.

On to the next....

OH AND KRISTEN BOUGHT HER DRESS!! It's hot and I love it, and she looks super good!

And on another note, my big fat as$ finally joined the gym..... and met with a trainer..... and it was awful.... apparently multiple trips to Happy Hour during the week has not been helping my figure (or my health)... who would have thunk??

So I will be up in the gym just workin on my fitness for the next six months, some one pray I don't pass out!!!

Kind of just what we were looking for

We have been trying to find a church that would be perfect for our ceremony- but with no luck. When I was online tonight I found this little place...

It is known to the locals of Pawley's Island as "the chapel". It was in Georgetown SC until 1946, when they dismantled the church and rebuilt it on the marsh in Pawleys. It is open during the summer for travelers and locals, with visiting ministers performing services.

Inside isn't EXACTLY what I was looking for, but with a view like this...

and the opportunity to make the ceremony exactly what we want.... I think it just might be perfect.

What do you think??

getting closer....

I went on my visit to Kingston Plantation yesterday- I am a pretty big fan, Thomas liked it too! There are 4 different reception spots, all with separate cocktail areas (which I love). Now there are just two other places for me to look at before I make the big decision!!

Now I am going to head down to Pawleys Island and take a look at Litchfield golf and beach!! SUPER EXCITED ABOUT THIS ONE...... I will let you know

And just because I love this.... How cute would it be if I got these personalized shoes and had them say Mrs. (on one shoe) and Duckett (on the other!!)

I saw this wedding here... and I want her dress (or one just like it). How come every dress place I seem to look has lace and beads and sparkles everywhere!!!! ahhhhh.....

what can I use??

So I am not a huge fan of spending $1000's on flowers that I won't even really look at (or use for more than a few hours). I want to create some cool centerpieces, that will look good (not leaving the table like something is missing) and match what is going on in the room. With black linens (i hope!!) what kinds of things could I use to create something like this.... I have been on a mission in every craft store and on every blog- but have yet to find something I could use for Blk and Teal.... HELP!!!!

ps... I got this pic off of weddingbee...

I thought black (shiny) rocks could be cool for the bottom (with maybe just a few clearish teal ones).... but what could I have sticking out (branches, feathers...)?????

I know I am getting a little ahead of myself, since I haven't even finalized the venue or the date- but oh well, I am doing my best!

Thinking about doing my own invites, because I haven 't found much that I am in love with. I want the invites to look similar to this:

I want to use "D" on all the invites and programs and stuff so they tie together. If you go here and see the color TARTAN for the invites and the rsvp cards- all with black envelopes- I think it will look really good.

A little eye candy..

So... I am definitely not ready to be trying on any white dresses yet (the gym starts Saturday), but that doesn't mean a girl can't look (drool..) Maybe in a few months I will actually get to try some on!!
