Since the teal shoes won't match

I thought I would get some stylish shoes in ivory... how do you feel about these:

Not sure if either one would totally match the dress. Thought I might go with a gold or bronze, so it wouldn't look weird if the ivory's were different shades. What do ya think? Help

Destiny Lane

About a month ago, thomas and I were on our way home from the beach and decided to take a walk down memory lane.....


Us in front of 1696 Destiny Ln, where we met almost 6 years ago!!! (you would think Thomas would want to put some sunblock on... I can't tell you how many tomato face photos I have of him!!):)

I think that it would be really cute to get a black and white shot of the street sign to put on the guest book table. Then after W day, I can put it up in the house somewhere

Headed to ATL in a few days for a little rival (in our house at least) baseball game! GO SOX!

yuummmmm... cake

Next big thing on my list..... CAKE!!! Now, I love all things sweet so this just gets me too excited! Thomas isn't the biggest "cake" fan, but the boy does love some sweets. We were thinking instead of one big wedding cake that we would do a bunch of regular deserts, Boston cream pie, tirimisu, apple pie.... you get the idea. If we decide to go with the many desserts, we need something pretty to put them all on. Like this...



It doesn't have to be just like this, but something similar. Let me know if you see anything that would look cute.

since i've been gone

Well, sorry for my "vacation" from the blog! But, you will all be happy to know I have actually gotten some stuff done.

Dress: Done
Invites: Done
Photographer: Done
Flowers: Decision is done- need to find florist
Chapel: Booked (awaiting approval!!!)


On to the next....
Thomas and the boys have decided they are going to buy suits, rather than rent tuxes (which I love!!) but..... he has decided on gray (sort of a light color gray)- like these....



Mens Warehouse- (look how good that dark teal little hankie in his pocket looks!!!)

so I was thinking, maybe it would be a good idea if we went black shoes????? (Lauren- I will pay you for the teal ones you already bought if you can't return them)

So what do you think? All the little details will still be teal, the wraps, the ribbons on the flowers and lots of stuff at the reception- but I thought maybe this would look better, and be a lot easier for those of you who have been having a hard time with the pumps!!! Let me know....

One more dilemma. The dress is "ivory" and I don't (nor does Thomas) want him to wear a shirt the same color as the dress. I think it will look weird, but I don't want my dress to look dingy when I stand next to him in a white shirt. Thoughts, suggestions??
