How about this cute teal one?? If only it wasn't like $350.... oh and I bought another pair of shoes, just to see which ones looked better with the dress!! (beth don't kill me, I promise we can return the other ones if I don't wear them..... but who knows, maybe I will wear both!! haha)

I should have them next week to be sure I ordered the right size (keep your fingers crossed) and then I will have both to bring home with me for my fitting!

I AM SO FREAKIN EXCITED I CAN'T STAND IT. Oh- and me and Mr. Ducks applied for our marriage license yesterday. He picks it up today!!! Easiest. Thing. I. Have. Ever. Done (you think it would be a bit more difficult!!)

flowers

So I found a link on weddingbee where ladies are talking about their experiences with fiftyflowers.com, where I will be ordering all our flowers from. All seemed to have good experiences. I also found a girl that made similar centerpieces with the same flowers. Take a look:

These are garden roses, mine will be all white, but similar idea. They look great and she said they were pretty easy- so it shouldn't be too bad. Just a lot of stems to cut once they arrive!

hair.... and flowers

So I am trying to figure out how I want to wear my hair.... and this is what I have come up with so far...... the front (except I don't have bangs). I want it airy, not super tight and hair sprayed


And this is sort of what I want in the back, except for with a different flower.



Not sure how it is going to look, any other ideas??? I would love to do some curls and wear it down, since I have let it grow, but that will last like .5 seconds before it frizzes up and we definitely don't want to see it after dancing- ahhhh!

I am not sure if the calla lilies we are ordering are the short stems or the long, but after seeing both of these photos, I don't really care. I love them both!!

getting stuff done

Trying to get everything finished up so I can sit back and enjoy! So while I head home to get some much needed stuff done, I will leave you with a teaser and link to a wedding by Kellie Kano- I can't wait to be having that much fun!!! GETTING SUPER EXCITED!!!

PS- booked my flight last night to go home in October for my dress fitting- now I just need to get rid of the Oprah arms and I will be ready to go (and I may need some duct tape to hold down the girls in my dress!! ha- or my step dad might make me wear a turtle neck over it!)

I finally have my life back and I am getting into full wedding mode! LOTS to do over the next 60 or so days... so I thought I would list them out (in no particular order)

1. Meet with Brenda, our minister and go over details (this weekend)
2. Go over hair and makeup trial with Connie
3. Find and purchase hair flower
4. Choose and order flavors for cakes
5. Programs - finalize what I want them to say (supplies this weekend)
6. Ribbons for flowers, vases and letters (this weekend)
7. Get wooden K and T (and maybe "I DO" for the cake table too)
8. Thank you notes
9. SHOES!!!!!!!!! (hopefully this weekend at South Park!!!!)
10. Order flowers- and check with Ryan and Litchfield for storage
11. Make table numbers
12. Dress fitted (October- oooh I need to order my plane ticket home)
13. Finalize menu at Litchfield
14. Seating plan
15. Seating chart
16. Create my photo "shots" and meet with James

18. Figure out what to do with Killian on Saturday night
